Convertive helps brands act while the shopper is still on the site by using live behavioral data to predict intent, personalize the session, and trigger the next best action across web, checkout, email, SMS, and ads.

We are currently expanding our ecommerce network in Los Angeles and New York and are looking for a part-time student/operator to help us connect with DTC brands, Shopify agencies, ecommerce operators, and growth leaders.

Role Overview

We are hiring a part-time Growth & Partnerships Intern to help Convertive build relationships with ecommerce brands and agencies in LA.

This is not a traditional door-to-door sales role. Your job is to help us identify the right ecommerce companies, find the right decision-makers, start conversations, validate interest in private ecommerce roundtables, and book short discovery calls.

You will work directly with the founder on early go-to-market, outbound strategy, event development, and customer discovery.

Strong fit for students interested in startups, ecommerce, sales, growth, venture-backed companies, marketing technology, or AI.

What You'll Do

  • Research LA-based DTC and ecommerce brands in beauty, apparel, fashion, home, lifestyle, pet, wellness, outdoor, and consumer products.
  • Identify decision-makers — founders, Heads of Ecommerce, VP Growth, Marketing Directors, Retention Leads, CRM Leads, agency founders.
  • Build lead lists with company name, website, LinkedIn profiles, role, location, ecommerce stack clues, and personalized notes.
  • Reach out via LinkedIn, email, campus networks, and local ecommerce communities.
  • Book short 15-minute discovery calls with qualified ecommerce operators.
  • Help invite local operators to small private dinners, coffee meetups, or roundtables hosted by Convertive.
  • Map Shopify, Klaviyo, CRO, paid media, and retention agencies in LA.
  • Visit selected brand showrooms, pop-ups, or local retail locations only when useful to identify the right ecommerce/digital contact.
  • Track outreach, replies, objections, meetings, and notes in a shared CRM or spreadsheet.
  • Share weekly feedback on what messaging gets replies and what LA ecommerce brands care about.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current student or recent graduate from UCLA, USC, or a similar school.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Interested in startups, ecommerce, AI, DTC brands, sales, marketing, or growth.
  • Comfortable reaching out to founders and ecommerce operators.
  • Organized and able to maintain clean lead lists.
  • Comfortable attending local ecommerce/networking events if needed.
  • Bonus: experience in sales, campus ambassador work, ecommerce, retail, marketing, startups, or event organizing.

Compensation

$18–$25/hour depending on experience.

Expected hours: 10–15 per week. Initial paid 2-week trial, with option to extend.
